iQOO Z7s 5G Review: Fully Detailed Features and Prices

Lot to like given the price point. Got this phone’s 8/128 variant for ₹18,000.So far, I have liked the multimedia experience (majority of which is extended hours of YT videos in high definition, thanks to my YT prime membership). For me, 3 mm audio jack is a blessing. Had been missing this feature since 4 years in all my oneplus devices.Calling experience on 5G network has posed no issues so far.Battery back up is decent. Although I haven’t tried any gaming yet but with the heavy social media usage, as well as long hours of video playback time, it gives me a day of uninterrupted usage.Apart from the dated water-drop notch and an average mono-speaker setup (which I barely use due to earphones), everything is quite good. Amoled display is at par. I have kept the settings on 90 Hz refresh rate.Camera is extremely good for casual day to day photography, even in low lighting conditions. An average user will not complain much. It has good in-built image editing options. Ultra-wide would have been an icing.Feel and comfort is very good and the phone is good looking. Very easy to handle for long hours due to uts light weight.The phone comes with a lot of bloatware and app suggestions. I have deleted most unwanted apps or have disabled the notifications for a few other apps which cannot be easily removed. Watch youtube video tutorials to get rid of bloatware. Now, I’m able to get a clean software experience.I hope that it turns out to be a durable device and Iqoo is able to deliver all promised updates in a timely manner.

So I have been using this device since a week and now writing the review according to a week’s usage. So there has been some pros and cons.Starting the review1- DEVICE- Pros-The device is extremely fast and snappy, no lags as such faced till now.Cons- Although it’s 120hz but the device gitters on some apps and falls down to 60hz it can be fixed though an update.2- CAMERA Pros- Camera is good I won’t say excellent it’s good, rear camera and ois works preety great too.Cons- front facing camera needs improvement it does not capture details and photos looked washed out and there is ultrawide camera it is ok and useless 2MP macro doesn’t capture good details. And also no 4k recording from front camera although the Processor supports it.3- Display- Pros- Display is big and bright Cons- although because of low ppi density it’s crispness is not that great and also there is a problem the display always looks yellowish I set it to coll through setting but it still looks yellowish.4- CHARGING- Pros- Charging is very fast thanks to 120 watt charger packed with the device.Cons- no as such only thing I fear is it might impact the battery health.5- BATTERY- Pros- 5000mah battery easily runs a daily on moderate usage and optimisation is also good.Cons- none6- PROCESSOR – Pros- 8+ gen 1 is very fast for daily usage and for games with the dedicated chip is very good.Cons – Heats a bit not that much.7- Audio – Pros- There’s a stereo speakers setup and it’s good.Cons- it’s not that loud plus when you connect it with your Bluetooth neckband or home theatre the sound level is low and I have reconfirmed it by connecting the hone theatre or the neckband with other device.So this were the reviews from my side after a week’s usage.For photoholic people please don’t select this devices and for gamers it’s the best you can get.

Thought of trying something different this time.As Family members are already using iQOO Z6 Pro, preferred iQOO Z7s after a long confusion of picking Oneplus Nord CE 3 Lite or iQOO Z7s and would say, its a better decision made. Guess, iQOO is now easily winning confidences from buyers in this segment.Pros:1. Light weight and evenly distributed.2. Comes with a pre-applied (very thin) glass protection and a clear TPU case.3. With 44W charger provided, 0-100% charge is happening in approx. 1 hour. 20-100% by roughly 50 mins.4. The design, especially the back. Though it is plastic, iQOO has given a very good glossy finish and especially how beautifully the back camera (s?) is placed. Go for Norway blue colour.5. Pictures taken in back camera (64MP+namesake depth sensor) are very good while selfie camera quality is above average for this segment.6. Display AMOLED with variable refreshing rates (30Hz, 60Hz, 90Hz or automatic based on usage) and in display fingerprint sensor is great and works very instantly.7. SPECS offered and their price is very good compared to other brands.8. Call quality is amazing with dual mics.9. 3.5 mm audio jack available while it is not available in Z6 pro and some other models.Cons:1. Only 6 5G bands (but should be fine with the bands operated by Jio & Airtel).2. Replacing Dimensity 920 with snapdragon 695 in the name of Z7s for same price is a scam 😡3. To reduce weight, they have given only 4500mAH battery. Moderate usage lasts 1.5 days, heavy usage (social medias) can last for a day. If you play games, consider charging again in evening. With flash charge, felt its not that bad.4. Slightly felt heating issues when used social media apps for too long.5. Single speaker at the bottom & quality is average.6. After using the device for exactly 7 days here’s what I found -Starting first with the design and build quality, the device is quite the looker. It’s very thin and lightweight and the curved edges make it very comfortable to hold on for longer periods.Also the glass sandwich built feels premium.Next coming to display, the 120 hz curved amoled panel is in one word, splendid. It offers an immersive viewing experience with buttery smooth output. It also supports up to 1300 nits of peak brightness which helps viewing in direct sunlight.Now, when you buy a IQOO device you don’t have to worry about the performance. It shares the typical IQOO dna and is powered by MediaTek dimensity 7200. The processor is very capable in running daily tasks and graphic intensive games. I am not much of a hardcore gamer but so far what I have tested I’m impressed. Games like BGMI, COD, Genshin Impact runs smoothly in this device with good graphic settings. IQOO also has done a job in cooling the processor, it barely gets hot while gaming.Next coming to camera, it has a 64 megapixel rear sensor which offers very good photos in daylight as well as night time. And the 16 megapixel front sensor is good too. The rear sensor can do 4k 30fps video recording and the front is locked at 1080p 30fps. Now, I am not that much of a camera guy, watching a camera review of this device will surely give you a better idea.After that I would like to share my thoughts on the battery and charging department. I was a little concerned about the 4600mah battery capacity and the 120hz display combo but surprisingly the battery holds up pretty well. I get easily a whole day of usage with 6-7 hours of screen on time which also includes gaming. The 66w charging adaptor charges the device from 0 to 100 in about 55 minutes which I believe is pretty good.Coming to network and connectivity, I haven’t really got the opportunity to test the 5G connectivity as my local area does no not have 5G network. But 4G plus career aggregation is very constant and it offers good uploading and downloading speeds.The last thing to talk is about software. The device comes with the latest Funtouch OS 13 based on Android 13 and IQOO has promised 2 years of OS and 3 years of security patches which is decent.Personally I don’t like the Funtouch OS much. I am coming from OneUI and compared to that this OS feels a little bit less lively. The animations are fluid and it also has all the necessary features but it needs more polishing. Do note I haven’t faced any bugs in the software but there are a few advertisements which you can turn off and then it becomes a very clean experience. The software experience completely varies from user to user so you might not be bothered by it at well. I just hope the brand polishes their UI more.Coming to compromises, it only has three which in my case is not much of an issue. It has an avarage vibration motor which doesn’t offer flagship like experience. This device comes with a mono speaker which is decent. I’m coming from a device with a single speaker so it doesn’t bother me as such. Also instead of the 2mp macro sensor a telephoto or ultrawide angle lens would have been highly appreciated.In conclusion, it can be said that it is a very good overall package if you can get it at 22k with the card offers. But for 24k it could’ve been better. It misses a few corners which would have made it perfect under 25k. I hope this review helps you to take a better purchasing decision.

I am looking for an all round mobile under 30k so for me iqoo Neo 7 pro looked good with all features under this price range. Giving my review after usage of 2 weeks. The phone is best in all aspects like display is very good, performance is truly best, camera is good and main fast charging is really works fine.I am happy and Satisfied with this smartphone in my way, and I strongly recommend to people who needs an all round(if non gamer also) mobile under 35k to go for this for sure.

The real performer. Everything is fine except the slow wifi issue. Phone is unable to cope up with my high speed internet modem. Still trying to figure out the solution. Comparing with Nothing Phone 2 and S22 Ultra it felt super handy and light weight.Design wise, I liked it very much. Simple yet elegant looks, very comfortable in using also. Camera island is the highlight of the device and looks evident that IQOO team had given a lot of thought in designing. Having a boxy design helps in grip. Device sits nicely in hand and feels like a solid device. Still I would suggest a good case for better grip and protection. I ordered white colour and it looks just beautiful. BMW lines are now replaced with BMW stripe logo which gives an elegant and rich looks to the device. Side buttons are nicely positioned and are tactile and clicky.Display, in one word it’s awesome. I have used a lot flagships and can say it’s not at all inferior. It’s a puch hole display and punch hole is moderately large in size. If it could been smaller in size it would have been brilliant. Brightness is very good and it’s easily visible evev in bright sun. Colours look rich. Not a technical expert but can say display looks pleasent and wonderful. It’s 1.5k display and looks quite sharp. You won’t miss 2k much, to be honest I feel fhd+ is more then enough for mobile displays. Along with brightness, display can go ultra dim too. Turn on extra dim option from quick setting toggle to lower brightness even further if required.Processor wise, it have latest and fastest snapdragon processor, SD 8 Gen 3. Thanks to the processor device is extremely smooth and lag free. Scrolling, switching apps, multitasking, gaming all are quite fast and one can feel the difference if coming from 2 generation old flagship device or any mid range device.Regular usage doesn’t heat up device at all. I was using S22 Ultra before this and it regularly got hot even in day to day tasks. But IQOO 12 didn’t heat up like that. In a week of usage of my handset never experienced any heating issues or hangups in device.Software wise, it’s quite a good experience compared to older version of OS. As the IQOO team promised no hot app or hot games, it’s not completely true. Once you open Vivo store app all the apps pop up but this time they can be removed. Few bloatware and duplicate apps are present too. But after removing bloatwares and disabling or muting notifications of apps you don’t require experience gets pretty good.UI looks have been revamped and now it looks modern. IQOO/Vivo now needs to revamp their home launcher app. It lacks a lot of features like hidding apps, secure folder to name a few. Installing third party home launcher solves these issues but many widgets become unusable like weather, album etc. Dynamic effects also gets disabled on third party launcher which is a bummer.Battery life is quite good. Light usage can give you 2 days battery life easily. Moderate usage leaves you with 40% to 50% battery at the end of the day and heavy usage should leave you with 10% to 20% easily.Overall SoT on moderate usage which I got was around 8 hrs to 9 hrs. Charging is super fast with in the box 120w charger. Phone gets fully charged in less then half an hour. If they would have given wireless charging support too, it would have been great. But not much to miss though.All the required sensors are present like nfc, gyro, accelerometer and all works fine. No issues in proximity sensor also. Speakers are good not the best but much better then average.Using on 5G jio in Hyderabad, great reception and signal strength. No heating also even on 5G network (Moto edge 40 had this issue).Haptics are also very good not Apple level but very good still. Implemented very nicely and can be felt in all the places like typing, general scrolling etc.I am surprised why IQOO team chose to give usb 2.0 port for data transfer. I usually transfer files from mobile to pc and vice versa regularly. Having restricted speed means a lot of time for transfer. I didn’t thought of it as a deal breaker but after usage I can say it is a deal breaker.Camera section is something where I don’t have much experience. I don’t use camera much. But whatever pics I have clicked gave very good results. For most it should be more then enough. For professional analysis look elsewhere. Daylight and night time shots boty came out pretty good for me. I am just point and click type of shooter😅.All in all I can easily recommend this device to any person who want a super fast device with stable os experience. I think, Indian brand lava agni 2 is doing well and great Indian brand but cost of curved display is so high, after one year a big que???? Iqoo z7s is good one because of OIS camera in minimum cost . After using it over 2 months I can say that it is a good product the amoled screen is good.The camera is good both front and back.The processor is a monster anything I throw at it, it runs it smoothly.The build quality is decent the looks are good.The charging speed is good and the inbox charger is a cherry on top.The only thing which disappoints me is the battery i feel like it should have been a bit more better. It is still good but who doesn’t want a better performance when it comes to the battery. I beleive 5000mah would have been the best for this phone.Overall a good and powerful smartphone in this segment.

I have been using this phone from past 8 days and here is my review.The display is top notch very bright and 90hz amoled feels good. Watching Netflix also very good. Don’t worry about the video quality this phone may not support 4k but it does a very great job in 1080p I’m satisfied with this .Performance is very good at this price range snapdragon 695 is a very capable processor but not for heavy gamers.Battery and fast charging are out standing even it has a 4500 mah battery ot lasts for 1 to 2 and half day and charges also very fast 44 w.Camera is pretty decent at this price point , i have installed a google camera and the pics are amazing check the selfi in the above images that is taken from gcam. And other pic is stock camera night mode which is super good .This has in display fingerprint sensor which is so accurate all times .Software also good i turned off all the ads and recommendations. Now its perfectOver all this is a very good phone at this price point i bought it for 14750 rupees and I’m very satisfied. If you are planning to buy a phone under this price range please go for this .

Battery is pretty good. It takes hardly 30 mins to full charge and it lasts for a day. Screen brightness is good even in heavy sunlight. In terms of Performance i have never faces any issues. Sound quality is decent. RAM management is very good. And Camera is pretty good with macro potrait shots. But in direct sunlight it struggles and potrait effect doesn’t come good. You can see edges. But considering the budget overall it’s a good phone to buy.

Mobile Design, battery backup and operating system is good .But camera clarity is not good at 64MPAnd it’s not a 64 MP quality.. By default it click 12 or 16 MP picture..and if you select 64 MP then you are not able to apply zoom ,any filter or beauty etc.. even camera clarity is not good ..as expected 64MP

Too good , camera is better is almost like s21 Fe even better in some criteria , performance battery life everything fabulous , even software does not have bloatwares rather software experience is also great and I guess a perfect phone if. Someone don’t are about ip rating and wireless charging , like I never use those things and care my phone , stable , top brightness , good display, value for money 100percent

13/4/2024Got this phone Just before poila boishakh.1st look = Quite good, sleek, light in weight.No heating problem as such, full charge takes around 1 hr, net connectivity, voice calls, all good.I am not a gammer, so need to charge the ph only once in a day.Also exchanged my old Redmi note 4.Got this phone only for Rs 9500.Quite good for this price.
