What is Jio AirFiber?

Jio AirFiber is a wireless 5G hotspot device that can provide broadband-like ultra high-speed internet without any wires or cables. The company claimed that the service could cover up to 1000 square feet on a single floor of a home or office due to its unique spectrum holding.

What is the cost of Jio AirFiber?

There is no official mention of Jio Air Fiber price in India, but based on the current Jio Fiber plans and installation cost, we estimate the Air Fiber price to be excepted around Rs 5,500 to Rs 6,000 for the device and data subscription. Along with it will also be sold according to different plans.

What is the Jio AirFiber launch date?

As per the report Jio AirFiber is going to launch sometime this year in 2023 and we can expect the commercial launch excepted Date 15 Aug 2023 of Jio AirFiber 5G home gateway services for Jio Fiber customers soon.

“In the cities where we have deployed 5G, we are already seeing consumption increase significantly, even 3-4 times more than the very high consumption base we had with 4G and even That even without any change in tariff. This means that we can estimate the ARPU growth only on the basis of consumption.”

  1. After 3 days of use with Jio sim card, it works absolutely like any normal wifi setup ( sans the GB limit ) . Was looking for an independent wifi dongle since quite sometime, will try VI next since it has better data plans.Connection and setup is simple; the router admin page is very much basic, so probably no advanced router configuration available. Most imp. thing here is the data usage, so we know of how much is consumed.I tested multiple places in the house to get the best speed and coverage, works well everywhere in my 2bhk flat. Got steady 15 mbps which is same as the phone was getting. If you have a tower nearby might be better.Did not try battery backup but kept it on ac power all the time. Do note that it gets hot enough when I charged and used simultaneously for first charge.Cons: LED lights status cannot be relied, they just show any stupid combination. Wifi eirks fine though, hope this device lasts long.

  5. After a long hesitation I have ordered this Dongle. I am already using Jiofi Dongle and it gives me good speed as well. But sometimes internet is very slow and Jio support told me it is due to more number of users at the same location and I have to live with it. I have started looking for a alternate dongle which should support Any Sim so that I can use any network which is better at my place. For some reason Indoor connectivity of Airtel at my house is very poor for past 15 years. I was initially looking at Huawei Dongle but it was very costly. I found this Tukzer dongle which had tick on all my requirements such as cost, all sim support. I was hesitant. But thought to give it a try. I have ordered and received a device which had some issues like front panel was already shaking for a new device and back cover is also not fitting and gets removed when we unplug the device. This device does not have refund options but they will replace it. They replaced it with a different one which seems to be good. When it comes to connectivity device works well when the connectivity is good in your area. Build Quality could have been better. I have used Airtel 4g, Jiofi, Vodafone 3G and MTS dongles earlier it had a solid build quality. For the price, device works great. Will need to find its durability. Can buy without any hesitation. I hope there won’t be any issues and don’t require their support. Cheers!!!

  7. I immediately purchased this Tukzer LTE Wireless Hotspot Device as I was using the internet for work using my mobile hotspot. Continuously using a mobile hotspot slowed my phone, so I decided to purchase it.Pros:• The network speed is good (it all depends on the network coverage in your area).• Battery is surprisingly good; not sure about the exact duration, but it lasts for around 6-7 hours easily with 2 devices connected continuously.• WiFi coverage area is also good; it remains connected to the device on the ground floor from the third floor.• Heats very little.• You get a micro USB cable. Now coming to the cons:• The most significant issue lately I have found is that the device does not work when you are in the roaming network.• Within 9 months, the battery has swollen, and I cannot find a replaceable battery anywhere.• It takes around 40 seconds to start the device.• Its webpage interface is very basic.• There is no option of checking which devices are connected (although you can check the number of devices connected on the webpage).• No option of checking SMS and receiving calls.• You can’t block any unauthorised user (although you can change the password)• You can’t check the signal strength on the device; one needs to open the webpage to check.• No sim adaptor has been provided as claimed on Amazon.I hope they can update their webpage interface, which I think is highly unlikely. However, if you use a mobile hotspot for the internet while WFH, then buy this device without any issue.

  10. The product’s name is “tukzer”, but in the browser when you open the IP it shows as “TUZKER”. Thats a huge red flag. I received the product on 20th Sept 21. The issue with the device I received is that it doesnt recognize any sim. Worthless, and since you can only have the replacement and you dont have the return, think twice. I wouldnt take a chance, if i were u.Edit #2: Replaced the product today(22nd Sept 21). The new product works perfect-speed is good, network is visible. Thank you Amazon for the service.

  11. So, I have been using this device for a week now. I am quite impressed with it’s performance, it works very well with mostly all the networks. I have tested 4G networks of VI, Jio & Airtel as well & the device works pretty well with them. You can say that it depends which network signal is more in your area. I occasionally noticed that the device gets heated up but that is only when we are downloading anything from YouTube, torrent etc. But normal browsing I couldn’t notice any heating issues. Configuring the device is very easy if you follow the instructions in the leaflet supplied. One Con I have noticed is that, it’s made up of cheap plastic, creaking sound comes, but overall the built quality is OK !

  12. I am writing this review after one month of use. I use this for almost continuous 10 hrs daily for my work from home job. Continuous call with screen sharing. It is working very good for me.Only one issue I observed that after the use of 5 hrs it gets heated and signal drops. But after removing from connection and reconnecting it again works well.I like this product very much and hope it will work well for long time.

  13. Bought this as a back up router to use mobile data for my daughter’s online classes as we use all our data on the Airtel broadband router way before due date – hell lot of YouTube. So I used my Airtel post paid sim in this one and was surprised by the speed – it’s really fast, you feel that because the same sim on your mobile isn’t as zippy as when you use in tukzer.Problem – it takes a while to connect and the start button behaves weirdly – it keeps blinking and won’t start. You try again and it may start or you may need to try again. But once it’s on and you give it about a minute after the signal stabilises – it then runs like usain bolt – it starts like it’s running for a marathon and then suddenly switches Lane to 100 meters sprint.Ofcourse the battery won’t last but it works direct on power as well. So I guess you are onto a winner here.

  15. Bought this product after much apprehensions about slow speed, bad network coverage, heating issue etc. But after 1 week of use, I find no such issue.1. The device does warm up a little bit but since it’s winters right now, it won’t be a problem. In summers it will require some cooling efforts.2. Speed is good if not at par with 4g handsets.3.Network reception is good if in general the netwerk is good in your area.4.Did face a problem of “No internet” once or twice but restarting it solves the problem.Overall, it servers the purpose + cheaper than other products.

  16. Admin Portal is Kinda buggy when i try to restart the Dongle with admin portal it restarts it continouesly..for some people they want to hide SSID but it don’t have the option to Hide SSID..I only purchased this device because i want to do band locking because while hotspoting my phone heats a lot. BAND LOCKING is the most important thing which i prefer if you have lower coverage or the cellular tower have user congestion.. and in VI in my area in Night peak hours Band 1 2100mhz have less users and i get upto 12mbps in my phone but this device don’t have band lock option so it automatically configure band 3 1800mhz and it can’t even cross 1mbps..Wifi coverage I don’t expected it can cross 2 walls in my house the wifi coverage is great in my opinion..it dont have firmware update option..It heats a lot while using with my desktop pc and a notebook laptop usb port.. But it gives less Ping (latency)… so i use it with my 2 amps smartphone adapter and it dosen’t heat that much..Overall ok product i still recomendbut buy this when you get this in sale Cuz i don’t think this product worth more than 2k if this thing don’t have those important things

I have been using a BSNL sim with it, wifi sometimes gets disconnected. The problem is when I try to connect with a desktop. It is not recognized when I plug it into my USB extension hub. So I have to plug it into the USB port of my CPU. Then also sometimes a dialog box appear that says device installation failed. But otherwise it works perfectly. I am confused.

  18. Great product with solid functionality.Pro’s :* Great WiFi range (upto 20 meters)* Decent speed (around 18-20Mbps when good network, 8-10Mbps on average on 4G networks).* Connects with all SIM cards.* Battery backup 6-7 hours of surfing time.Con’s :* Login interface is very basic.* Although light indicator is accurate, it only tells us the range of battery (>70% – Green. 30-70% – Yellow,

  20. I have used Airtel dongle earlier and wanted to get a device that can work with other carriers like Jio. I saw the reviews about Tukzer device and going by the speed mentioned there, it appeared that it would be 70% closer to what I saw on Airtel dongle. However I am now disappointed as the speeds is veery less and even the internet connection is very flaky and unreliable. Internet sometime stops as well. My mobile hotspot seems to give more speed and reliable than this device. I am seeing 35-40 Mbps (using fast.com) when I use my mobile hotspot with Jio SIM. The same SIM in the device gives very low speeds ranging between 2-9 Mbps. Worst the internet stops in between. I am seeing 30-35 Mbps when I use mobile hotspot with Airtel SIM and around 6-11 Mbps on this device. Overall this seems to be substandard product and better would be to go with the network provider recommended dongle rather than device like Tukzer.

  22. Bought this for around 2.1K to use with a Vi (Vodafone-Idea) sim. Works with computer USB and power adapter, minimal setup required. Wifi and Signal indicators do not work. Came with a SIM adapter. Speed is around 8 mbps for download, 1 mbps for upload. Will update this review if something comes up after regular use.EDIT on 22nd March 2023: network consistently drops after being on for three or more hours. I’m using it for remote study (video streaming) and have cause for concern when it flares up in the evening when the deadline is at midnight. Not recommended for critical / regular usage, as a last-case resort it would be okay.Original was 3 stars, deducted to 1 star.EDIT on 4th October 2023: performance is unusable now. connection timeouts on every new page before it finally loads after refreshing 4-5 times. absolutely terrible experience, I would not touch this company’s products with a ten foot flagpole from now on.

PROS:1. Handy for short term use.2. Decent Wifi coverage.3. Portable.CONS:1. Prone to reboot periodically, causing disconnections (quite annoying while streaming)2. Back panel covering the sim tray tends to be loosely attached.

  26. No need for any settings or drivers in latest OS. Just insert the SIM, plug in and start using it.Looks damn cool, handy.U can change the SSID & WiFi password, by logging into the Login IP (provided in the device itself).Speed was good.Worth at this price. Go for it.

  27. The media could not be loaded.  Good quality and very easy to connectlooks good, Cap and cover fit and close smooth.i just plug the dongle to charger after inserting the sim card, within few seconds ,my laptop shows the wifi name and connecting to this dongle was so simple, worth for money
