Must say Sanyo & it’s parent company Panasonic have been quick to respond and resolve the problem of Amazon Prime Video Customers of not being able to Sign In on Sanyo Kaizen 4K UHD TV Model XT-55UHD4S.Smart TV was my 2nd purchase from Panasonic, whose Microwave I have been using without any issue, but glad to note Sanyo resolved the issue very fast. Keep it up.1, Sanyo Helpline2. Amazon.Regret to say that I feel cheated by both Sanyo Appliance and Amazon following the purchase of Sanyo Kaizen XT-55UHD4S 4K UHD TV due to misleading features of the TV on the Amazon Mobile App because my Amazon Prime Video is not working on the new 4K UHD Sanyo LED TV.Amazon is also responsible because a seller has posted a product for sale with misleading features and it has turned a blind eye.Among the features, Sanyo and Amazon state, “Sanyo Kaizen Series — Enjoy the best Japanese technology…. and has all your favourite video streaming apps like Amazon Prime Video, Netflix… Bring Home the Sanyo Kaizen Series now to experience the latest in TV technology.” THIS IS TOTALLY FALSE AND MISLEADING AMOUNTING TO UNFAIR TRADE PRACTICE BY SANYO AND AMAZON.I have bought the 55inch Smart TV Sanyo 139 Cm/55 inches Kaizen Series 4 K Ultra HD Certified Android LED TV XT-55UHD4S vide Amazon dated 09.09.2020 through Amazon Mobile App.But now I find that my Amazon Prime Video will not work on this TV even though I have a Prime Membership of Amazon and the Amazon Prime Video app is inbuilt in the new modern TV.After failing to Sign-in to my Amazon Prime Video account on the new so-called Smart TV despite repeated attempts, I requested for a call back from Amazon.I was surprised and shocked when Amazon Customer Care Executive told me that Amazon Prime Video will not work on my new LED TV as Sanyo has not taken permission from Amazon for making the Amazon Prime Video functional on their Sanyo 139Cm/55 inches Kaizen Series 4K Ultra HD Certified Android LED TV.The Customer Care Executive asked me to buy an Amazon Fire Stick for Sign in of my Amazon Prime Video on my new 4 K UHD TV. Why should I now buy an Amazon Fire Stick as information by Sanyo on Amazon App clearly said “TV has all your favourite video streaming apps like Amazon Prime Video..”Strange Amazon is allowing Sanyo to sell a product through Amazon platform giving a misleading statement to enjoy “all your favourite video streaming apps like Amazon Prime Video, Netflix…”.Hope Amazon will wake up now and have all products of Sanyo removed from its platform so that more customers are not cheated like me. Sanyo should also stop displaying misleading and false features including assuring Customers to “enjoy Prime Video” even though Sanyo has not taken any authorization from Amazon.Sanyo must take permission from Amazon for Prime Video and them only highlight this feature. Why is Sanyo cheating customers?Hope Amazon and Sanyo will take immediate action on my complaint. Amazon should remove all Sanyo products for giving misleading information on Amazon App.

I generally don’t review an electronic product right way. I use it for a few months before I share my review so that it is not just based on looks but also, functionality and after sales service like Tech Support.The TV isn’t bad but after an Android Update (some time in Dec 2020), it started with WiFi issues. It keeps dropping the connection every now and then. Also, WiFi and Ethernet are two different technologies, however, if I don’t switch on Ethernet, my WiFi status shows “Connected, No internet” and remains so until Ethernet is switched on.I escalated this to Panasonic (Sanyo Tech Support) and they raised a ticket for Onsite Tech Support. Since then, my ticket has been attended by 4 different field engineers and they have have visited at least 7 times. Each time, they did a software upgrade and it fixed nothing at all, however, just gave me a job to set up and login to all OTTs with every upgrade. I was later informed that I should speak to the Area Sales Manager, Abhishek since it is him who is not allowing further hardware diagnosis. After 7 software upgrades to the same software version (V8-T851TNF-LF1V684), I asked him to check the hardware. However, he keeps asking me to create a ticket with Tech Support and then sends a field engineer for the same software update again and again. He asked me for pictures and videos of the issue which I sent him. All he did was to send another engineer to update the software. It is clear that it is not a skill issue but a will issue. They just don’t want to check the hardware and keeps insisting on buying an Extended Warranty. Why should I? The product came with 1 year warranty! I am a Certified Server Engineer with 16 years experience in Wired/Wireless Technology. So, their illogical explanations for the issue has so far failed to convince me.I will be escalating this further however, please be aware of this experience in case you choose to buy this product.Now About the TV:Pros:1. Amazing Colors and Clarity (I only use OTTs on 70 mbps connection. So, I can only speak of OTT’s video quality). VA PANEL makes black and other colors look really vibrant.2. USB and HDMI ports are placed well and easily accessible even if the TV is wall mounted.3. Speaker Sound is good enough for TV series and audible in a large room set-up.4. Has headphone (Aux in) port.5. Google Chromecast works really well. However, casting with macOS and iOS is glitchy.6. Design is sleek and looks good.Cons:1. Doesn’t support Dual Band WiFi.2. Speaker Sound is not good enough for Cinematic Sound. The in-built “Surround Sound” option is a gimmick. It turns sound to noise. I use it with my 5.1 Surround Sound Home Theatre System so, it works fine for me. So, you may require a sound bar (at least) for a good Cinematic Experience.3. Doesn’t Have Dolby Vision but claims to have a similar technology.4. Doesn’t have ARC (HDMI 1) but has a similar technology as the brand claims.5. WiFi keeps dropping the connection. Tested on both Home Broadband as well as 4G network.6. Since it is VA Panel, colors from side view may look faded/washed out.To Sum it Up: It is a good buy for the price however, given the quality of after sales service, I would advise any potential buyer to give it a second thought. Just because you buy something online, it doesn’t mean that you deserve inferior service quality levels. Any purchase comes with a warranty but what good is a warranty if the brand doesn’t honor it?Hope this helps!Thanks,Joydeep
